This is how we hART
Makers
Crocheters. The hART beat of the project!
These are the folx putting the creative heart into the hARTs. Designers, makers, dreamers of yarn. One hook and loop at a time, regulating their nervous systems for their communities.
Makers are the folx who create the hARTs art for community installations (aka gifts and offerings - see at bottom of page). Makers can be the dreamers of the installation project as well as those who contribute components to the final installation. These elements include crocheted hearts, structural elements, and anything that is needed for the creation of a successful installation.

Hubs
Hubs are locations (businesses, organizations, etc) where supplies and maker-space is provided for community members to gather, crochet hearts, donate hearts, and create community installation projects together. Hubs may hold regular “open hours” or specific maker circle groups and opportunities. View hubs page for more information.
***Please review the safety guidelines for hubs on the FAQ page.
Installers
The folx who physically get the better together hARts projects into their communities.
These are the people who go to installation locations to deliver the hART gifts and/or install a hART projects within the community.
These people may also be responsible for getting hARTs projects into other communities.
For example, a group of makers in WI might want to deliver a hART projects to a Latinx business in Minneapolis. This installer sees to the safe delivery and presentation of the hARTs project to that business.

A very important message about community safety.
The privacy and confidentiality of the recipients of installations must be prioritized. No exceptions.
Not all recipients of an installation need to documented and shared publicly or even privately beyond the ecosystem responsible for the hARTs installation; and some recipients absolutely should not be shared publicly.
Makers and Installers are collectively and individually responsible for protecting the rights, dignity, safety, and welfare of the recipients when an Installation is created and installed. Makers and Installers are also collectively and individually responsible to the better together hARTs project community and ecosystem.
How we choose to protect our communities and each other matters; it comes with much responsibility. When choosing to participate in the better together hARTs project, you are agreeing to uphold and abide by these ethics.
